Designed to Passivhaus standards this large 3 1/2 storey innovative Eco-Home is set in the seaside town of Hove. This project required a durable and low-maintenance exterior finish, combined with the natural beauty and elegance of timber on the inside. Designed to Passivhaus standards, the house required exceptional u-values and airtightness to provide the high insulation, draught-free and low heat-loss standards. This meant that the GreenSteps Scandinavian Slimline system was the perfect choice.
Glass to glass corners, large sliding doors and a huge 5m x 2.5m triple glazed atrium window create a dramatic architectural presence and an amazing feeling of light and space inside.
Detailed neatly with the external 2-tone render finish, the Scandinavian Slimline profile allows for minimal frames and a slick, modern appearance. Another outstanding feature was the incorporation of a folding door system to allow wide access to the in-house workshop whilst maintaining the airtight thermal envelope of the building.
